Hello dear readers,
We started this blog two and a half years ago as a way to share recipes with one another and to connect through food, even though we’re a family that’s scattered across the globe. It’s been such good fun and we just love hearing from readers who try out our recipes! There’s something special about feeding others and we’re honored that so many have chosen to share our food with their friends and families.
2015 was a year of evolution for all of us. Hanin blossomed as a mother, Beth embraced a whole food plant-based diet, Emily started taking her professional future into her own hands and Mom has put herself out there as a budding children’s author. We’ll be lucky if 2016 is as good to us as this past year has been. In any case we hope you’ll stick with us, we have some changes planned (shhhh it’s a surprise!) and lots more drool-worthy recipes coming your way.
We’d like to kick off the new year by taking a minute to look back at the most popular posts in 2015. Enjoy 🙂
Thanks for your readership and support, we wish all of you a very happy new year with lots of food, fun and family.
It is with great pleasure, and honor, that I close our Christmas Special Series!
As you have probably noticed, some great recipes were shared to satisfy your sweet tooth, each better than the other… Oh my! I am going to have to be careful during the holidays and not ruin all the efforts I have been making over the past few weeks! Haha.
The following recipe is a dessert I once had at my great Aunt’s house (Thank you Amto Sulafa!). I instantly fell in love with the idea, and let me tell you, this dessert will give you lots of energy to fight the winter cold 😉
First, allow me to apologize for being so late in posting… I guess my time management is not as good as I thought it was…
Taking care of 🐼 Panda 🐼, your brother/son, the house, work…So much to do and we only have one child. All of this makes me think of you Jan, and how your time management skills must have been amazing with 3 children!! I truly admire you!
So this week I have decided to share with you a dish that we traditionally have for breakfast back home, but it is definitely something that you can have for brunch or lunch. It is super easy to make, the hard part being finding the right can of beans. I would go to a Lebanese grocery store, or maybe it could also be found in the #cuisine du monde part of supermarkets? I am not sure.
Hello ladies 🙂
I hope you are all doing well!
In Barcelona, everything is now back to normal: my parents have just left after spending a few weeks with us. It was so wonderful to have them around, especially since I hadn’t seen my dad in more than a year! They were both so happy to spend some time with the pequeña and we were all spoiled during their stay. Wonderful times.
This recipe is one I made while my parents were staying with us. Last Saturday, they treated us to a very nice breakfast at our place and I wanted to try this recipe for a long time. It seemed like the perfect moment!
I hope you are all well!
This week I have decided to share with you a recipe that is easy, quite healthy and tasty!
I have tried it on friends and it was a winner!
I hope you are all well!
Today I wanted to share with you a recipe that I have discovered not too long ago. I was looking for something new to try, that could be eaten cold and that Beth could eat (so no meat, no cheese, except for goat) for a party we had at our apartment.
It was a very casual party, and dinner was served on a buffet (hence the “has to be eaten cold” part) as I wanted to prepare everything ahead of time so I could sit and chat with our guests.
I found the recipe online, and I decided to give it a try… it was a huge success!
I thought it was really delicious and as soon as I tasted it I knew I had to share it with you 🙂
Today the four of us are happy to share a special post! The nice people at www.aloha.com asked us if we’d be interested in sharing our health and food tips for Spring and it got us thinking… what are we doing for our bodies and minds? With New Years’ resolutions but a faint memory, we decided to make new ones!
In this post each of us shares our Spring resolution accompanied by a recipe that will help to achieve our objective.
We hope that you’ll enjoy this post and that it will encourage you to make a Spring resolution as well. What will you do for yourself in the coming months? Please share!
